Kessler Supports Non-Profit Youth Employment Services
Costa Mesa, CA – Youth Employment Service (YES) of the Harbor Area, a non-profit organization providing employment counseling, training and job referral services for at-risk youth and young adults, announced on August 3, 2011, that it received a $35,000 donation from Santa Ana-based Corinthian Colleges and its Everest Santa Ana campus. The contribution is the largest single-year, private, non-grant donation in YES history.
Corinthian employees raised the funds for YES through individual donations, a silent auction and support from its business partners, including The Kessler Group. “We always welcome the opportunity to support our community and those of our partners,” said Jeff Slawsky, Kessler’s managing director of marketing. “Like both YES and Corinthian, Kessler is committed to helping improve the lives of young people, as we are very active here in our own Boston community”.
Each year, about 800 to 900 students participate in YES activities, which serve youths ages 14 to 22 through programs and seminars focused on employability, career choices and quality of life.
